Jackie Miller
Born in 1961 in Humboldt, Saskatchewan, Jackie Miller is predominantly a self
taught artist. Known for her whimsical citypscapes, and vivid quilt like
landscapes, she has recently added to her repertoire fluid and tactile
abstracts. Her work is represented in private, public and corporate
collections.
Jackie Miller strives to inspire in others emotion. She hopes that the
colors and textures that emerge should leave viewers with a mood. She
applys herself completely into the process of rubbing colors on and off.
New colors begin to emerge on old, different shades appear, colors
lift and stay, depending on tensions applied. Her ability to allow the
motion of paint on the canvas is very fluid, and tactile.
